Account & Data Deletion
As a NeedOrWant user, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data. We provide two ways to do this:
Method 1: In-App Deletion
- Open the NeedOrWant mobile app on your device.
- Navigate to Settings (accessible via the Profile tab).
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Tap on Delete Account.
- Confirm your choice. Your account will be queued for immediate deletion.
Method 2: Email Request
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing our privacy team:
Please use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and send the email from the address associated with your account.
Data Retention & Handling
What is deleted?
- • Your user profile & email
- • All purchase analysis history
- • Your spending personality profile
- • All journal entries and notes
What is kept?
- • Financial transaction records (7 years)
- • Anonymized aggregate usage data
- • Records of your deletion request
