How it Works

Account & Data Deletion

As a NeedOrWant user, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data. We provide two ways to do this:

Method 1: In-App Deletion

  1. Open the NeedOrWant mobile app on your device.
  2. Navigate to Settings (accessible via the Profile tab).
  3. Scroll down to the Account section.
  4. Tap on Delete Account.
  5. Confirm your choice. Your account will be queued for immediate deletion.

Method 2: Email Request

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing our privacy team:

privacy@needorwant.app

Please use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and send the email from the address associated with your account.

Data Retention & Handling

What is deleted?
  • • Your user profile & email
  • • All purchase analysis history
  • • Your spending personality profile
  • • All journal entries and notes
What is kept?
  • • Financial transaction records (7 years)
  • • Anonymized aggregate usage data
  • • Records of your deletion request

Note: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
